I was just trying to explain my perspective on how GMAT function paths
should work and relating it to the current functionality of Matlab
functions.
The current requirements don't have the use of a Create GMATFunction line
anymore. Adding a single GMAT function could be useful though.
Do you want to have a Create GMATFunction line in addition to the
GmatFunctionPath.Add line, since the current framework has that already?
It's not a problem adding that to the requirements.

Subject: Re: [Gmat-developers] Multiple GMAT function paths
I was thinking the GMAT functions syntax check would happen when a script
gets built.
Here are my suggestions for when to syntax check GMAT Functions
- Not at startup.
- Not when a new GMAT function path is added in the GUI
- When a script is open from the GUI, since we build scripts on open
- When a user clicks the Build Button
- When a user clicks the Run Button
- When a user clicks the Build&Run Button
When you see declaration in the GMAT Functions reqs doc that can be
thought
of as similar to several Create MatlabFunction commands.
Please script an example of this for me. I've already asked if you mean
"Create GmatFunction myGFunc;"
(this syntax already works, incidentally, from the unfinished
implementation 3 years ago) but I don't see an answer to that question
anywhere. IF I can count on that as a requirement here, I'm good to go
on the initial design steps -- but so far everything I've heard in the
last week says that I cannot count on that line existing in a script or
function that uses a GmatFunction object.
